Carrie Wheeler, CIO, Cbeyond at TechBridge Digital Ball 2013

The 2013 Digital Ball is in the history books. Everyone had a great time and a lot of money was raised for TechBridge. Congratulations to James Franklin, Carrie Bates Hastings and the entire team at TechBridge along with a huge team of volunteers. This was a special night and you made it so.

Booth 61 had the privilege of broadcasting live during the opening reception. We interviewed leading technologists who have been at every Digital Ball and those who were attending for the very first time.

What an honor it was to be joined by Carrie Wheeler, CIO of Cbeyond in Booth 61. Carrie is someone I have enjoyed getting to know over the past number of years. Carrie is real people and she has a warm and generous spirit. Carrie works for one of the most giving companies in Atlanta, Cbeyond. I had the privilege of meeting the founder, Jim Geiger and most of his senior staff in 2005 or 2006. As a growing entrepreneurial company, time and money are not always available for not for profit organizations or donations of employee time. Cbeyond does not agree with that philosophy and our community is so much better as a result. You will love hearing Carrie’s passion for service.

Big Nerd Ranch Sponsors VIP Reception at TechBridge 2013 Digital Ball

The 2013 Digital Ball is in the history books. Everyone had a great time and a lot of money was raised for TechBridge. Congratulations to James Franklin, Carrie Bates Hastings and the entire team at TechBridge along with a huge team of volunteers. This was a special night and you made it so.

Booth 61 had the privilege of broadcasting live during the opening reception. We interviewed leading technologists who have been at every Digital Ball and those who were attending for the very first time.

Our first guest was the CEO of Big Nerd Ranch and one of my newest friends, Charles Brian Quinn affectionately known as CBQ. Big Nerd Ranch stepped up to the plate in a huge way for this year’s Digital Ball by sponsoring the VIP Reception. This was a strategic move in my opinion that will pay huge dividends over the years for Big Nerd Ranch. Although CBQ had never attended a Digital Ball in the past, there are very few CIO’s in the Atlanta community who do not know him now. Great work, CBQ!

Charles Brian Quinn aka CBQ, CEO of Big Nerd Ranch Rocks Booth 61

CBQ, CEO of Big Nerd Ranch, shared secrets of his success and lessons learned from a few failures. His insight and advice will be invaluable to any aspiring entrepreneur and a must listen for the “Nerd” in all of us.

As a supporter of TechBridge since its inception, I am personally grateful for CBQ and Big Nerd Ranch stepping up as a major sponsor of the 2013 Digital Ball VIP Reception. This is a great commitment from a growing company looking to build presence in the marketplace. I am confident this is a very good investment for all parties concerned.
